Do you know a graduating high school senior or eighth grader that is out of this world? Submit a photo of your grad, signed media release, and 2-3 sentences about them (including their church and school) to communications@seccsda.org for a chance to have them featured in our June issue of the Recorder! All grads we receive will be posted on our social medias.
We are happy to announce that Robin Banks has accepted our invitation to serve as Loma Linda Academy’s next high school principal effective July 1, 2024.
Mrs. Banks is currently the principal of Richmond Academy in Richmond, VA. Prior to her current position, she also served as the principal at Tidewater Adventist Academy in Chesapeake, VA, and as an Instructional Coach and Director of Administrative Services for the Reading School District in Reading, PA. Her experience also includes teaching with Chesapeake Public Schools.
We look forward to welcoming her at the start of the new academic school year!
On Monday, March 4th the SECC hosted the Lego League regional competition for 4th to 8th graders. Thirteen teams participated in the competition at Glendale Adventist Academy in Glendale, CA. Loma Linda Academy had a strong showing with 8 teams participating - 3 elementary teams and 5 junior high teams.
The competition takes place over 6 hours - with 3 rounds of robot competitions and one 30-minute presentation on Lego League core values and an innovation project.
Two LLA elementary teams received awards yesterday, with one advancing to the National Competition!
The "Route 31" team, comprised of 5th graders received the Innovation Project award.
"The One Piece" team, comprised of both fifth and sixth graders received two awards. The team received the Lego League Core Values Award which celebrates the team that "displays extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit, knows they can accomplish more together than they could as individuals, and shows each other and other teams respect at all times.
The One Piece team is one of the 3 regional teams that will compete at Nationals in Orlando, FL on May 5th! Let's cheer for "The One Piece" as they represent LLA!

This is your opportunity to secure a space for your child next school year. This year’s re-enrollment dates are February 1-15, 2024.
There are four required forms to complete (five for Elementary), which are all accessible from myLLA:

Medical Conditions & Allergies Form (Not a physical examination)
Profile Update Form
Re-enrollment Contract ($100 non-refundable re-enrollment fee upon submission)
Elementary Home & School Volunteer Form (Elementary only)
Completion of your child’s re-enrollment by February 15 will qualify you for benefits. These benefits include a discounted re-enrollment fee of $100, elementary teacher/friend requests, junior high elective requests, and high school class scheduling appointments. On February 16, the re-enrollment fee will increase to $175 and theremaining spots will be offered to new students.
